Rice porridge is always popular and tastes good to everyone. With mango or other fruit, it is always worth a try. Pure or sweetened with date flour and cinnamon. As a filling meal, it is quickly prepared.
If you like, you can also cook a hearty porridge. Then mix this with various vegetables, such as carrots, peas, spinach, zucchini or broccoli. The vegetables can be diced or chopped. Finally, season with herbs to taste.
But today my sweet creation comes into play. As a breakfast, it keeps me full for a long time.
Rice porridge
A delicious and nutritious dish made from cooked rice. It can be prepared savory or sweet and is popular in many cultures. It is perfect as a warming breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Rice porridge
Ingredients
- 80 g basmati whole grain rice
- 350 ml soy drink
- 1 tsp date flour optional
- 1 tsp cinnamon optional
- 1 mango
Instructions
- Wash the rice and put it in a large pot with the vegetable drink.
- Let the whole simmer for approx. 25 – 30 minutes. Stir again and again. If necessary, add more soy milk.
- Arrange the rice porridge on a plate.
- Peel the mango and cut into small pieces. Spread on top afterwards.
- Alternatively, sprinkle with a little date flour and cinnamon.
Tips
Cook more rice porridge right away and bake a rice casserole with the rest. Or bake delicious little rice thalers in the oven and take them to work.
