Ingredients
- 1 kg floury potatoes
- water as needed
- some salt and nutmeg
Instructions
- Boil potatoes in a potato steamer until cooked.
- Then peel and press through a potato ricer.
- Pour hot water over it and stir immediately.
- Dose the water carefully, otherwise the mush will be too liquid.
- Season the puree with salt and a little grated nutmeg.
Tip
Peel potatoes immediately and cook in a large pot of water. The potatoes should be covered with water. After pressing through, you can immediately use the hot potato water for the mash.
Add onions browned in the water over the mashed potatoes. This has a special hearty taste.
