Kohlrabi and lentils – what more could you want

What better than to combine vegetables and lentils in one pot. Kohlrabi and lentils, the perfect complement. A meal that is quick and yet filling. Potatoes as a side dish complete the whole.

This is the perfect combination. Filling potatoes with vegetables and nutrient-rich lentils. Especially when you come from work and do not want to spend a lot of time to make a good meal, this dish is cooked quickly.

A stew that has it all. Kohlrabi and lentils complement each other wonderfully. Lots of healthy vegetables and satisfying lentils. Plus boiled potatoes. Cooking could not be simpler.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 kohlrabi
  • 1 onion
  • 100 g yellow lentils
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • 2-3 tsp spelt flour type 630
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch of fenugreek
  • 1 pinch of curry powder
  • water for cooking
  • 300 g potatoes

Instructions
 

  • Peel potatoes, cut into halves and boil in water for about 20 – 25 minutes.
  • Boil lentils with 3 times the amount of water for about 12 minutes.
  • Peel and chop the kohlrabi and simmer in a pot with about 300 ml of water together with the chopped onion until the kohlrabi is soft.
  • Then season with salt, pepper and parsley.
  • Mix flour with water and thicken the kohlrabi vegetables with it. Stir in the lentils.

Tips

Kohlrabi and red lentils These lentils also do not require long cooking times.

Both types of lentils can also be cooked in a pot with the kohlrabi.
