Naan bread with yeast

The vegan naan bread from the pan. My creation was made as a thicker bun. This can be topped very well or simply enjoy with a spread. But it tastes best plain with a stew or baked beans with tomato sauce. As a side dish it goes well with any meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 120 g whole spelt flour
  • 2 g dry yeast
  • 1 g salt
  • 0,5 tsp date flour
  • 30 g soy curd or soy yogurt
  • 100 ml soy drink or other vegetable drink
  • 1 pinch of baking powder

Method
 

  1. Mix all dry ingredients together.
  2. Stir in soy curd and soy drink or other vegetable drink.
  3. Cover and let rise for about 1 hour.
  4. Then knead again briefly with floured hands.
  5. Take small sections at a time, shape into rounds and then flatten slightly.
  6. Heat an enameled pan.
  7. Turn heat to lowest setting.
  8. Place a piece of baking paper in the pan.
  9. Place the flattened pancake in the pan on the baking paper and cover with a lid.
  10. When the pancake has risen and bubbles form, turn it over and finish baking from the other side without the lid.
