Lentil burgers
Lentil burgers are simply unsurpassed as an alternative to bean burgers. The consistency is perfect for making really good, oil-free and vegan burgers.

- 250 g red or yellow lentils
- 50 g red lentil flour or chickpea flour
- alternatively potato flour
- 50 g oatmeal
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pinch of turmeric powder
- 0,5 tsp curry powder
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tbsp parsley
- 0,5 tsp onion powder
- 1 pinch of garlic powder
Wash lentils and bring to a boil with 2 times the amount of water. Then simmer gently for about 12 - 15 minutes.
When the lentils are soft, stir in the rolled oats and the red lentil flour or chickpea flour, alternatively potato flour. Add a little more water if necessary.
Stir in the spices and remaining ingredients as well.
Leave the mixture to stand, covered, for about 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius top/bottom heat.
Form burgers from the mixture.
Place on a baking sheet with baking paper. Cover with additional baking paper.
Bake the burgers in the oven for 20 minutes.
