Chocolate torte

This vegan chocolate torte is baked with whole ingredients without any oil. A real must for all chocolate lovers.

Ingredients
  

For the dough
  • 400 g whole spelt flour
  • 150 g oatmeal
  • 100 g spelt flakes
  • 100 g date flour
  • 20 g cocoa powder
  • 600 ml oat drink
Topping
  • 270 ml oat drink
  • 25 g date flour
  • 10 g cocoa powder
  • 10 g starch flour
  • 25 ml oat drink extra for mixing

Method
 

  1. Put all the dry ingredients for the dough in a bowl.
  2. Add oat drink and stir to make a smooth batter.
  3. Line a round cake pan with baking paper.
  4. Pour the batter into the cake pan.
  5. Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
  6. In the meantime, cook a pudding for the topping.
  7. To do this, mix the cornstarch with about 25 ml of cold oat drink in a small container.
  8. Bring approx. 270 ml of oat drink to the boil in a saucepan together with the date flour and cocoa powder.
  9. Remove the hot liquid from the heat and whisk in the dissolved cornstarch quickly.
  10. Boil the mixture again until it becomes a thick pudding.
  11. Then let cool briefly and spread on the cake batter.
  12. Bake the cake at 180 degrees celsius top/bottom heat for 50 minutes. Then leave in the oven again for 10 minutes reheating.
