Method
Bean vegetables
- Wash the beans and cut off the ends of each. Then cut the beans into small pieces.
- In a pot with the water, bring the beans to a boil.
- Then drain the water and add beans again with fresh water.
- Add the savory and the finely chopped onion.
- Simmer everything together for about 20 minutes until the beans are soft.
- To thicken the liquid, mix the flour or starch in a cup of cold water, add to the liquid and bring to the boil and season with salt and pepper.
Sweet potatoes
- Peel the sweet potatoes and cut into pieces. Boil with water in a pot for about 10 minutes until soft.
