Method
- Cut through whole grain spelt rolls.
- Strain black beans from can and rinse with water.
- Boil briefly with a little water
- Blend with a hand blender.
- Season to taste. Spread the buns with the bean spread.
- Enjoy with chopped chives on top.
Notes
Of course, you can also use other beans, such as white beans, kidney beans or even chickpeas for a tasty bun spread.
The beans don't necessarily have to come from a can. You can also use fresh beans, which then need to be soaked in cold water 1 day before and cooked in a pressure cooker for about 12 - 15 minutes the other day.
Buns can be baked beforehand, frozen and then baked again. Or you can bake the same day the whole spelt rolls.
