<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Mashed potatoes are a classic dish prepared from cooked potatoes that are mashed or pureed into a smooth paste. It is typically made from floury or predominantly floury potato varieties. <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Tip</h2>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Peel potatoes immediately and cook in a large pot of water. The potatoes should be covered with water. After pressing through, you can immediately use the hot potato water for the mash.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Add onions browned in the water over the mashed potatoes. This has a special hearty taste.</p>
