The powder is also known as lucuma fruit powder and is obtained from the lucuma fruit, which is native to the Andean regions of South America, especially Peru. This fruit is oval to roundish in shape and has a green skin and an orange-yellow, slightly spiny rind. The pulp has a mild, sweet flavor. This makes it a popular natural sweetener alternative in the kitchen, especially for those who want to avoid refined sugar. The powder is made by drying the pulp and then grinding it into a fine powder. The curd strudel is particularly tasty due to its filling and was baked in a vegan way.</p>
