Have you ever baked sweet potato fries yourself? Here I show you how to bake them best. And so that it’s not too monotonous, I’ve also added kohlrabi fries. If you like, you can of course add a portion of extra vegetables. Or how about one of my delicious homemade burgers to go with it?
Sweet potato fries
Sweet potatoes are not only delicious, but also extremely nutritious. They are a healthy addition to a balanced diet. And to simply make fries from them are the absolute hit.
Try my fries with cinnamon for a change. You will be amazed how delicious they taste.
Sweet potato fries
Ingredients
- 400 g sweet potatoes
- 1 kohlrabi
- 1 tsp. paprika powder noble sweet
- 1 tsp. curry powder
- 0,5 tsp. onion powder
- 0,5 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. herbs of Provence
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp potato flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder optional
Instructions
- Peel sweet potatoes and kohlrabi and cut into sticks.
- Put everything together in a bowl of cold water.
- After 10 minutes, drain the water.
- Mix with the spices as well as the soy sauce. Finally, sprinkle the potato flour over the fries and mix the whole thing with 2 spoons.
- Put everything on a baking tray with baking paper. Bake in oven at 180 degrees celsius top/bottom heat convection oven for about 25 minutes.
Notes
Tips
Place sweet potatoes in cold water for 10 to 30 minutes after peeling and cutting. This will make them crispier. If you like, you can add 1 teaspoon of baking powder to the potato flour.
If you have hot air in the oven, you can bake the fries with hot air.
